Did you all enjoy American Idol last night? I don't know how America can begin to pick a fav, they're all so amazing. I'm notorious in my family for having a horrendous voice - really bad. I can't even play the humming game with the kids. My humming sounds like an animal getting run over and over and over again, dying a very slow death. My kids love music, they love to sing and they hope to be famous one day. Jake loves Justin Bieber and bless his soul thinks that kind of fame can happen to anyone who works hard. I don't have the heart to tell him he can't carry a tune to save his life. I'm pinning my hopes on the fact that they may be able to play an instrument. Santa brought Sam a drum set and Jake a really cool electric guitar. I was lucky enough to find Dem at Rock Star Academy for some really awesome music lessons. They loved it because the atmosphere made them feel like they were real rock stars. Dem started them out reading notes on a snare drum and then let them keep a beat on his big set. They took a drum lesson but Dem also offers guitar, keyboard and voice lessons and another great thing is that you pay as you go so you're not locked in if your kids lose interest.
