This is a fun project that I found from one of my favorite blogs Decor 8. It's a fun Martha Stewart project and I can't wait to try it. I have the perfect baskets but I need to find the perfect paint color. I'm going to display them on the bottom shelf of my bookcase if it ever comes. (More on that later.)
I also wanted to share this fun recipe with you. I make it when I need to bribe my neighbors. This time it was to let my boys' play on their grass since ours was just fertilized. This is an old Martha Stewart recipe and it tastes a little like fried ice cream. So yummy and sooooo easy!
Crunchy Ice Cream Loaf
3 cups of cornflakes crushed. I've used cornflakes but Rice Krispies are better and I just made one with Frosted Flakes
1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon (I use a little more)
honey
vanilla ice cream
1. Sprinkle the inside of a loaf pan with water and then line it with enough Saran Wrap to wrap over the top. I criss cross it to have plastic on all sides. In a small bowl combine crushed cereal and cinnamon.
2. Sprinkle half the cornflake mixture in the bottom of the pan, drizzle with honey and top with half the ice cream. Repeat
3. Fold plastic over the top and freeze until firm. 6 hours up to 4 days. Slice and serve.
