Punjammies and the Princess Project

Today was a great day to stay in bed and in your pajamas!  Sometimes I love these gloomy, cozy days that make you want to snuggle on the couch with a cup of tea, good movie or book and a cozy blanket.  Back to reality, with three kids and a pile of responsibilities staying in bed is not even a bleep on my radar.  Anyway, thought it would be a good day to introduce Punjammies.  I first found these gorgeous pajama pants on Design Mom, a favorite blog of mine by Gabrielle Blair.  Punjammies are a product sponsored by the International Princess Project.  The "project" produces pajama pants out of saris and cotton, organic pajama tops.  The women who have learned how to craft these gems were rescued or escaped from a life of forced prostitution.  They are so beautiful and they are for such a beautiful cause.  I think I'll be buying all of the women on my Christmas list a set this year.  I don't ever cut and paste text but I thought this was important to hear right from their website.....
Every PUNJAMMIE™ purchase creates
A fair trade wage
Deposit into a savings account
Financial support for holistic care
Capacity building for more women to enter the after-care center
Every PUNJAMMIE™ tells the story of a woman who was once voiceless. You can be a part of rebuilding lives shattered by modern-day slavery.
Wear PUNJAMMIES™. Wear hope.
