Baby It's Cold Out There!

It's so easy to be annoyed by the complications the cold, icy weather brings.  The cold weather gear is endless, it's annoying to warm up the car before you leave and needless to say, dangerous to drive on icy roads.  But stop and look around, the snow covered trees and big fat snowflakes are some of the more beautiful things nature has to offer. 

Here are a few treats to yourself to make winter a little more cozy:

1.  A quality, cozy, soft blanket.  I've heard from a trusted source that Restoration Hardware makes the best.  Try to buy one at the end of the season (on sale of course) or put one on your Christmas list next year.

2. Lit, white candles are my favorite in the winter.  I love to put tealights or votives on the back patio or in my hurricanes next to the front door on the porch.  It's a very warm welcome for my visiting friends.

3.  A great cup of cocoa.  I made my own in a saucepan with milk chocolate chips, milk and heavy cream - lookout Starbucks.

4.  A great book - I'm looking to you for suggestions on this one!
