Sweet Desk

I felt like a little project and wanted to spruce up the family room a little bit.  I'm never quite satisfied with the furniture layout so I decided I needed a little something behind the loveseat.  I moved over a high table and it looked good but then I remembered this cute little desk I bought at an antique fair last year for $25 or $30.  The reason I loved the little metal desk was because it was painted my exact favorite shade of pink.

Dilema:  The desk was perfect especially with a cute little lucite lamp, but the perfect shade of pink did not work in my family room.

Resolution:  Spent $10 on gold spray paint and $8 on crystal knobs.  Sprayed it gold and LOVE IT! 

Even my husband loves it and I love how it looks with a stack of colorful books on top.  The colors pop!  Extra bonus - I left the inside drawer the original pink!
