Bone-appetit

OK all you working Mom's out there,  this one's for us!  We all want to be the mom who makes those gorgeous cupcakes with swirly icing, glittery spiders or words that spell out "eeek".  We all want our kids to have amazing homemade treats and to look at us with amazement in there eyes because they CAN'T BELIEVE we pulled off something sooooo UNBELIEVEABLE!  Let's face reality!  Any spare time we have is spent.... well there really isn't any spare time is there?  Even if we did have the energy to whip up a cupcake or a cookie chances are it would be burning in the oven while we're going through the mail or throwing in a load of laundry as we're cleaning up after dinner.

That's why I fell in love with these skewers by Dylan Lauren, Ralph's daughter and owner of Dylan's Candy Bar.  The ones on the right are the ones I made in about 7 minutes total.  Three minutes in the store picking out chewy, gummy and chocolate candy with soft centers and four minutes assembling them in random order on the skewers (don't forget them at the grocery store, I found them in the aisle with all the Asian foods)  Extra bonus:  30 second clean up and the look of excitement on my kids faces.
Also, really easy and fun are the plastic bag hands found at any party store or dollar store filled with candy.  Bone - appetit!
