with these kitchens! I honestly haven't left my kitchen since the boys have been out of school for summer break. They're constantly eating!!! Now-a-days kitchens are not just for eating, they're for homework, paying bills and entertaining too. In my humble opinion the days of huge, over the top, showroom kitchens are over and people are looking for something more intimate and cozy. Not so perfect. Think back to eat in kitchens (meaning the kitchen table is in the middle of the kitchen instead of an island) or using your island as a permanent eating area.
If you have a cozy kitchen think about editing your area. Think about a few versatile serving pieces and bowls that can double for mixing and serving. Maybe instead of china and crystal and everyday you could either use your china and crystal everyday and shelf the other set or get rid of it all and find a set of everyday that's elegant enough for dinner parties.
We all need to use what we have. Why not pull out your expensive bowl for fruit on your counter. I know it may chip or break but it least you can enjoy it instead of it taking up valuable space in a cabinet!
